Spent Christmas at a hotel near the train station and really enjoyed it! We were able to check-in early and had a hearty breakfast. From the manager Erdenebayar, who was incredibly helpful, to the front office lady Odgerel, whose smile was infectious and English skills were better than some professional guides, the service was simply outstanding. The staff even invited me for a special dinner at the owner's own Gurt and showed me his racehorses, which was a truly unique experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with nice views and all the basic amenities I needed. The breakfast had delicious Mongolian touches that added an extra special touch to my mornings.
